Easter is Tomorrow

Christians everywhere will celebrate this extra-special holiday. While Christmas celebrates the promise, Easter is the proof.  Humans are sinners by nature, and that would normally separate us from God. But, when Christ rose from the grave, fulfilling the prophesy that he would, the opportunity for humans to remove that separation was made possible. Christ referred to Heaven as “paradise.” When we celebrate Easter Sunday, we are reminded that we all have the opportunity to reside in paradise someday. That sounds like a pretty good promise to me.

Happy Easter to you and may you remember that Easter is not about colored eggs and big rabbits; it’s about the proof of a promise that we can all bring ourselves into a closer relationship with God. That cross, that has been replaced in our culture with pictures of colored eggs and bunnies, is the bridge between us and God. That bridge gives us hope that God’s grace will give us something to look forward to. Finding it in a retail store these days is becoming more challenging. There is only one reason for Easter, but sadly, it is being replaced with popular symbols that have nothing to do with Jesus rising from the grave.

Jesus paid the ransom for us on our behalf. Easter is a day to celebrate.
