Please pray for the family of 8-year old Martin Richard of Boston, who died yesterday as a victim of the attack at the Boston Marathon. He was at the finish line watching the race with his father, mother and sister. His mother and sister were critically wounded with his sister losing a leg. His mother required brain surgery. They were all the victims of needless, intentional evil.
Please pray for the family of Krystie Campbell, another of the known fatalities of the bombings. She had simply accompanied a friend to watch the friend’s boyfriend come across the finish line.
The evil, poor excuse for a human being or beings, are purported to have used nails, ball bearings and metal shards to maximize the carnage. Evil does exist on this earth. If those responsible are from the same group responsible for 9/11 and other atrocities, the U.S. needs to close our borders and reconsider handing out student VISA’s. The victims were completely innocent people. They did nothing to deserve this fate.
There is evil in the world. There is a devil. As long as there are people who believe they have been called to murder those outside their own religion, the world will never be a safe place. While we mourn those killed yesterday, we must also keep those whose lives were permanently changed in our prayers also. There were many people who lost their lower limbs and others with abdominal injuries. They will require years to adjust and heal. Those who lost family members, and the number may be larger than we know, will never be quite the same. Everyone who was at that location yesterday will feel a lingering sense of vulnerability. There is no reason for any of this.
