President Trump just returned from a very successful trip abroad which brought America back to the center of prominence and respect that we enjoyed at one time. Greeted on the tarmac by King Salman of Saudi Arabia, the President then went on to address the leaders of 50 Muslim majority countries and lay out an agenda for dealing with terrorism. The speech was well received and the Middle Eastern leaders showed their respect for the President.
In Israel, the President prayed at the Western Wall, something no other U.S. president has done, and then had a constructive meeting with the prime minister and the leadership of the Palestinians. He had frank discussions with both sides. After this, he met with Pope Francis and then European leaders at the NATO summit. It was a busy trip that reestablished America’s dominance in world affairs and returned us to a position of leadership. He pointed out that the majority of NATO members do not pay their fair share of the costs, which are mostly borne by the U.S. taxpayer.
Upon returning home, the President was again dogged by the media frenzy, created by the opposition party about suspicion of Russian collusion. Despite the fact that the acting assistant director of the FBI, and the CIA director, have both said in testimony that they have found no evidence of “collusion,” the witch hunt continues. The media has not reported on the successes of the trip, and have instead, spent airtime and hot air on a story that amounts to “fake news.”
In the meantime, holdover members of the Obama administration, who still hold positions in government and in the White House, are suspected of leaking classified information to the press, compromising national security and international relations. These leakers seek to undercut and sabotage the administration and U.S. interests and national security. The President has vowed to seek them out and fire them. They should also be tried and incarcerated for violating U.S. law and putting the country in jeopardy.
