It’s been a long time since I used Microsoft’s product “Live Writer,” which allows for posting to a blog from your desktop. It just became apparent to me that while Microsoft stopped support of the software, they also distributed the source code and made it open source. Some loyal developers picked up the ball and ran with it.
The newer iteration of the software is now called Open Live Writer. (open source and Live Writer) This is my first test posting with it. If it works well, I will use it with this blog and configure it for my other websites. (WordPress based)
I had stopped using the version supported by Microsoft because I ran into a number of glitches with it. Let’s see what the open source community has been able to accomplish.
NOTE: It appears to work, but left too much spacing between paragraphs. I will have to determine how to fix that small snafu.
