It was 1967 when the Youngbloods released Get Together. It was the time of Viet Nam and the hippie culture. It was before political correctness, so the song even mentions the second coming of Christ. It is currently being used in a Walmart commercial. Apparently Walmart sees it important message to the country today; 50 years later.
