Billy Graham was humble in death as he was in life. His casket was made by three men in a small shop at Angola Prison in Louisiana. Graham had earlier discovered the work the shop did producing simple handmade caskets for prisoners and was impressed with the craftsmanship these men put into each one of them. Instead of an expensive, ornate casket, worthy of a man who brought millions to Christ, Billy Graham instead wanted to be buried in one of these simple caskets fashioned by prisoners. His wife Ruth had been buried in one also.
The story of how his casket was made, in this short video, should bring a tear to the eye of anyone who contemplates the message it sends.
God bless Billy Graham and God bless the men who made his casket.
