The Start of Real Blogging

It has occurred to me recently that I may need to starting treating my blog as a blog.

Most people who are serious about blogging post every day. Many post about their lives and what they are doing on any given day, while others post about topics they are interested in. Either way, they build an audience for the content that they post.

It has become apparent to me that I am wasting my time and energy posting the material I locate, as a curator, on Facebook. After making an effort to find interesting content from across the Internet and around the world, Facebook shadow-bans about 95% of whatever I post.  It makes the effort of sharing interesting information with “friends” an impossibility and an exercise in frustration.

Part of the challenge is that if your content tends to lean “right” to any degree, even if you are a certified “facts freak,” as I am, then most social media platforms will put restrictions on sharing any content and ascertain that only a few people, or maybe nobody, sees what you share.

This is true with any social media platform and it seems to extend to any content you post.  I like architecture and design, both residential and commercial. My posts on these topics are often hidden by Facebook alongside anything political or social. Why?  That is a good question.

I also post regarding music from the 1960s through the 1980s.  Either the people I know on Facebook, who are mostly in the same generation, share no interest in this music, of the social media platform also shadow-bans this content. I will post it here and hope if finds an audience.

Also, in my search for understanding of the Medicare system, and my months of research into the best approach that a person like myself should take, I have loads of information to post that would be educational to those who have to face that dilemma in the near future. It is complex and resembles the  IRS code in many ways. If you are somebody who wants to understand Medicare, then stick around.

I will also post on topics such as American culture, self-publishing, watches, the latest research on both COVID-19 and the many vaccines………some still in clinical trials.

The new content starts with this project called Colina by the architects at SAOTA.  The hillside villa overlooks the bay of Funchal. It is located in Madeira, Portugal. This stunning residence has a roofline that reflects the coastline. The entire property is designed to maximize views. I discovered this architectural firm because I subscribe to the Youtube channel hosted by Enes Yilmazer. (find the link below)  Enes tours some of the finest multi-million dollar properties in the L.A. area, as well as some in other locales.
