It was really the song that nearly never happened. The story of how Rick Astley went from a mostly unknown singer to a guy whose job it was to serve tea and do other odd-jobs at the music studio, to a mega-success is an incredible story. Thanks to the Professor of Rock for putting the entire back-story together and presenting it, from Astley’s humble beginnings with no big-time performance experience to being the center of the cultural phenomenon, the RickRoll. The whole story is really amazing, and considering that the 1987 song; “Never Gonna to Give You Up” was actually shelved at one point makes it that much more interesting.
