Although they were participants, I have to tip my hat to the Osundairo brothers, the Nigerian brothers, who helped Jussie Smollett pull off one the most disgusting hoaxes in American history.
The Osundairo brothers have come forward to re-create the events of that fateful night in the same location as the hoax took place. The broadcast of the brother’s testimony is airing on Fox Nation, a premium/paid platform, so I am using some of the video footage, thankfully provided in this video by the Youtube channel Liberal Hivemind, who does a good narrative of the circumstances and fallout of the whole episode.
Smollett was more than happy to impugn the character of some 79 million Americans at the time, with his false narrative of MAGA-hat wearing Trump supporters as fictional attackers. Indeed, as the Osundairo brothers clearly show, the entire event was completely fabricated and staged. Yet, there were no consequences for Smollett. He spend a couple of days in jail before he was released. Even the single charge against him is not anywhere near as serious as what many others would be charged with under similar circumstances. How many man-hours did the Chicago police devote to this “crime,” investigating it, in order to provide Smollett with “justice.” How much damage did this false and fictional “crime” cost those who wore red hats or who supported former president Trump, as they were cast as racist, homophobic haters and criminals, when nothing actually happened?
Here is the worst of the whole episode; nearly half of America did not employ any critical thinking, any deductive reasoning; they were too willing to buy into the whole charade. They let their hatred of Trump voters cloud their thinking. Even Dave Chappelle made light of the improbable circumstances in Smollett’s story and he took heat for it. The other half of America was saying that the whole story was so completely unlikely, that it had to be a lie. It was.
